Drug Testing

I am a parent with two older teens and I worry about them using marijuana. I sometimes suspect that my kids may have tried this and I am concerned with them using this drug and also the potential of it being a gateway to other drugs. I went online to see if there were any home drug testing kits that I can use that will work to detect marijuana in their system.

I found several tests that can be used to test for this drug and most of them work by using a urine test. From what I understand, the best time to test is in the morning before the individual has a chance to drink any products that can wipe the substance from their system. While most sites state that marijuana stays in the system for 7 days, some of the other sites mention that it only stays in there for 3 days. I also know that there are some detoxifiers that can rid the body of the drug, although I think they have to be taken right before the test.

I am wondering which product is best to use when it comes to drug testing for your kids and if other parents out there have also had this experience. Do some products work better than others when it comes to detecting marijuana in the system? And do all recommend that testing be done in the morning or should it be at other times? I realize random drug testing of my kids may seem out of line to some parents but the way that I feel, if they live under my roof, they need to live by my rules. I am just trying to do what is right for my kids.

Ok so...

Package was sent March 25.

Package was signed for March 26th.

No word on anything yet.

I included my email address in the letter for at least a 'got it, thanks!' but nothing has come my way yet.

Hopefully it'll come soon and hopefully it'll include pics or something.

For now, we wait. *sigh*

Our lovely willwork4dean has assembled the blankets, YAY!!!!! She was a HUGE help to me and I can't thank her enough.

She sent them back to me and I got them today and I took pics!

So, before I send them out, I'm hoping that you guys help me out. I'm wondering if you wanted me to send any notes their way. I can send all your well wishes along with the blankets and the story behind the blankies.

I got the squares!

Opening the box was like Christmas morning! Ya'll have done a great job - the squares are beautiful! I called my mom and she will alert the church ladies so we can set up a time to meet.

WOOT!

P.S. A huge thank-you to Wendy for all her hard work. MWAH!

Sigh. I fail lol.

So my square joining sucked to no end. After numerous attempts I have given up and have asked for help from the lovely willwork4dean. On Monday I will ship all the squares over to her and she will take over.

*hangs head*

I ADMIT DEFEAT!

Does anyone know how to sew squares together??

I have tried and tried and I've done it before but I can't seem to get it right with these. I pull the seaming out, re-block and nothing.

If anyone can, I'll send them over postage paid. I'll even send chocolate. Maybe even...yarn!

And it continues.,...

I never imagined putting this thing together would be such a task!

I had to stop for 2 weeks because my back was so sore from being bent over that thing and trying to decide which square goes where. And next week I have a friend in town so I won't be home...much.

I need more hands :(

Hey all!!!

Sorry I've been absent from LJ but personal stuff got in the way but I am alive! Anyway, I've put some of the squares together but I'm finding that I need more for Jared.

So any foresty colours like greens, red, browns would be highly appreciated if you guys have some spare time.

If not, I can squeeze out some more.

Hope everyone is having a lovely and safe summer. I'll be away on vacation starting Saturday for a week and a half but feel free to reply here or email me at wends8@yahoo.com for the mailing address.

Thanks!
